A fire occurred on this 3400 square foot Calgary home in April of 2021. The reconstruction of the home was completed in the spring of 2022.Extensive reworking of the framing and structural elements allowed the home to retain it's character with a modernized layout.
Designed by Pico Studios this home in St. Andrews is a wonderful example of a modern Scandinavian farmhouse. Currently under construction with completion slated for early 2023.
The cabin is located in the Columbia Valley. Construction will be completed in early 2023. This 2800 square foot bungalow is intended as a weekend retreat with the option to rent it out as a vacation property. Unique aspects of this project included building in a remote area on a steep slope with granite outcroppings that the foundation was doweled into.
Set at the edge of the rolling foothills our bungalow project has a modern, clean look on the inside that is both practical and inspirational. The home offers an enjoyable experience suited to every occupant, no matter their age. Vélin Homes was inspired by the region’s architecture and natural environment and our team decided to base the design of the project on those elements.
Golf Course Building
Mickelson National Golf Course is truly a stunning course, set among the rolling foothills west of Calgary it is golf on a grand scale. We built the course comfort stations, members clubhouse, and proshop. This is the place for the golf aficionado.
Office and Shop structure
This large scale commercial building combines both office space, storage and maintenance bays in a 15000 sq/ft facility. Working with consultants and engineers we accommodated the client's varied needs and expectations for the project.
Office Tenant Improvement
The Edison Building is definitely designed to impress and judging by the reactions of visitors, it manages to do just that. We worked with a tech startup to renovate an existing office into a shared workspace with a definite wow factor!
The coffee shop is designed for the local community, a place to drop in and catch up. This project was added onto a larger commercial building and presented challenges with plumbing and mechanical systems. With large windows on both exterior walls we were able to flood the interior of the space with light, creating a place with a fresh ambience.
Restaurant and multi use facility
Remodeling an existing 7000 sq/ft structure into a restaurant gave us an opportunity to be creative. We changed the space into a private members lounge, banquet hall, board rooms and a fully functioning restaurant and kitchen. Taking advantage of the existing building's architecture allowed us to create unique and interesting spaces.
